These wheelchairs are designed specifically for heavy individuals up to 270kg (421/4st). To suit the needs for larger users, the chairs are adjustable in height and depth. The unique wheelchair frame design ensures that the greater part of the weight is taken up on the rear wheels which lightens the steering and reduces energy loss. As well as the seat depth and seat to floor height being adjustable, the seat and back can be angled, allowing greater variation in adapting to the individual user. With its removable back, arm and footrests and quick-release wheels the Eclipse can be dismantled to fit into smaller cars quickly and easily. Seat depth 410 to 560mm (161/4 to 22 Inch). Seat height 360 to 510mm (14 to 20 Inch). Footrests are purchased separately.
